Description
These modules are covered in detail in the ITIL® 4 Direct, Plan and Improve (DPI) training: Module 1: The purpose of this module is to understand the core concepts of DPI to include the various mechanisms of effective direction and concepts of planning within an organization. Module 2: The purpose of this module is to build or improve the practical skills required to run an effective IT organization. It is about knowing how to select and use the appropriate methods and techniques to direct, plan and improve value streams. Module 3: The purpose of this module is to understand the ultimate goal behind strategic thinking, which is to achieve long-term organizational goals that can be accomplished by setting objectives, developing policies and plans, and allocating resources. By defining structures and methods, organizations can develop more effective strategies by applying mechanisms such as cascading objectives or even identifying the relevant scope of control. Module 4: The purpose of this module is to understand how strategy management practice is applied at different levels and across different time zones. Strategy generation is not a one-off activity and strategy cannot be expressed in a single document that is then never changed. Strategy is a purposeful journey with a defined direction and goals, not a destination. Module 5: In the module, we will dig deep to understand the different types of assessment methods and when to use each of them. Knowing the steps to conducting effective assessments and exploring the different types of data analysis methods will make understanding the fundamentals of planning and implementing action plans more effective. Module 6: The purpose of this module is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand, apply and use Value Stream Mapping (VSM) as a powerful tool for process improvement and optimization. Module 7: This module covers the essential knowledge and skills required to effectively measure and report on the performance of various aspects within an organization. It will provide a comprehensive understanding of reporting and measurement, different measurement and metrics approaches, the correlation between success factors and key performance indicators (KPIs) and the principles of the continuous improvement model. Module 8: The purpose of this module is to cover the knowledge and competencies required to drive continuous improvement, improve value creation and foster a culture of adaptability and excellence within their organization’s service value system. Module 9: The purpose of this module is to provide a comprehensive understanding of Organizational Change Management (OCM) and its critical role in driving improvements in operational efficiency, throughput and the service value chain within an organization.
Module 10: The purpose of this module is to provide the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to excel in effective communication and understand its critical role in stakeholder engagement and interaction. Module 11: The purpose of this module is to contribute to the successful implementation and management of IT services in their organizations, ultimately leading to improved business outcomes and customer satisfaction.
