These modules are covered in depth in the ITIL® 4 Collaborate, Assure, and Improve (CAI) training: Module 1: The course will explore the four dimensions of service management for each practice.
That is, value streams and processes, organizations and people, information and technology, and partners and suppliers.
The five practices considered are Relationship Management, Supplier Management, Service Level Management, Continuous Improvement, Information Security Management. Module 2: The purpose of the relationship management practice is to establish and maintain the connections between the organization and its stakeholders at a strategic and tactical level.
This module provides an introduction to the practice of relationship management, defines some key terms related to the practice and outlines the success factors for the practice.
Module 3: The purpose of supplier management practice is to ensure that all suppliers and their services are managed appropriately to support the seamless delivery of high quality products and services.
Module 4: The purpose of the service level management practice is to set clear, business-based targets for service performance, warranty and experience and to ensure that service delivery and utilization are properly assessed, monitored and managed against these targets.
Module 5: The purpose of the practice of continuous improvement is to adapt the organization’s practices and services to changing business needs through the continuous improvement of products, services, practices or other elements involved in the management of products and services.
Module 6: The purpose of information security management practice is to protect the information that the organization needs to conduct its business.
This includes understanding and managing risks to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, as well as other aspects of information security such as authentication and non-repudiation.
This session will provide an introduction to the practice of information security management, define some key terms related to the practice and outline the success factors for the practice.
Furthermore, you will be able to test and consolidate your knowledge with a summary, learning checklist at the end of a module.
